On October 2, 2012, the Disney Fantasy was docked in Costa Maya, Mexico. Ivan and I went to the Enchanted Garden for breakfast which has the same food as the food in Cabanas but a bit quieter. There’s not much food really available. I had a Mickey waffle and cereal.
Later, we had lunch at the buffet upstairs.
Ivan, Lil Dave and I headed into Costa Maya. We got the bus for 3 dollars each to Mahuhual which is downtown.
We chilled on the beach where the water was really, really warm. It’s great to relax in the water.
The black clouds started approaching, and they looked pretty evil. Ivan thought it was going to rain soon.
We got a taxi back to the port.
Ivan and I shared a tasty, but expensive mango margarita at Senor Frogs. (You cant go to mexico without having a margarita can you!!!)
There were a few dolphins in the water outside of the bar.
We were back on board around 3 pm. Ivan and I took a nap and read our books. Lil Dave went to go in the jacuzzi with his monkey friends.
That evening, we saw the great Wishes show which is an original show. It was about 3 teenagers who were graduating high school. They were celebrating by having a good time at Disneyland. There were many characters from Lion King and Mulan. It was a REALLY entertaining show with the Disney magic, but also maybe a bit of the Disney ‘cheese’ factor also.
I was in the shower when Ivan went to see the amazing juggler Mike Price.
Dinner was at Enchanted Garden.
Ivan and I started off with a good saffron mussels soup. Ivan got the turbot which was ok while my mushroom pasta was average. We told our server Kristina that the food wasn’t that good.
The chef came over who was an Indian man. Ivan said the food hasn’t been great. Ivan and I love Indian food. Ivan asked if we could have vegetable jalfrazie tomorrow with roti.
Kristina brought everybody diet tiramisu which was average. The rocky road ice cream sundae and the banana bread pudding were tasty. The chilled soufflé was boring.
There’s a big chair fit for royalty that I thought would be a great picture.
Ivan and I headed to The Tube for trivia. We did good but didn’t win the 80’s Music Trivia. The winner didn’t win anything. I think Disney should give out some sort of prize, like Carnival does. I did see pins given out at a game the other night.
Next, we watched part of the Pop game show which was about pop culture. After that we headed to our cabin to sleep.
